Escobal Mine

The Escobal mine is located in southeast Guatemala, approximately 40 km east-southeast of Guatemala City. The deposit is an intermediate-sulfidation silver-gold-lead-zinc vein deposit hosted in Tertiary andesite and volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks. Continuous precious- and base-metal mineralization extends over wide (10m to locally 50m) zones defined over 2,400m laterally and 1,200m vertically. As of January 1, 2017, Measured and Indicated mineral resources for the Escobal deposit totaled 368 million silver ounces at an average grade of 323 grams per tonne (g/t), with significant quantities of lead, zinc and gold. Proven & Probable Reserves are 23.7 million tonnes at an average grade of 351 g/t silver, containing 267.5 million ounces of silver.

Tahoe Resources Inc La Arena Mine

La Arena Mine

The La Arena gold mine is located in northern Perú, 480 km north-northwest of Lima. The mine consists of two types of mineral deposits: high-sulfidation epithermal oxide gold mineralization hosted in brecciated sandstone within the Chimu Formation, and copper-gold sulfide mineralization hosted in multi-stage porphyry intrusives. Operations are currently exploiting the oxide gold reserve by open pit methods using conventional drill/blast, load and haul methods. Ore is truck-dumped onto leach pads with no crushing or agglomeration required prior to leaching.

Shahuindo Mine

Shahuindo Mine

The Shahuindo gold mine is located in a prolific gold producing belt in northern Perú, 30 km north of the La Arena mine. The deposit is an intermediate-sulfidation epithermal sediment-hosted gold deposit centered around a large amplitude fold intruded by felsic stocks. The project design is an open pit mine using conventional drill/blast, shovel and dump truck operations with heap leach processing. The phase 1 mining plan is focused on ore amenable to run-of-mine heap leaching. Commercial production for Phase 1, to a capacity of 10,000 tpd, was achieved on May 1, 2106.

Timmins Mines

Timmins Mines

Timmins mines are located in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. The Timmins mines consist of two underground mining operations, Timmins West and Bell Creek, both of which feed the Bell Creek Mill.  The Timmins West Mine is located 18 km west of the centre of Timmins and hosts three deposits, the Timmins Deposit, Thunder Creek and the 144 Gap Deposit, where an initial reserve is expected in the third quarter of 2017. Bell Creek Complex is located 20 km northeast of the centre of Timmins and includes an underground mine and processing facility. Tahoe’s Canadian assets also include a number of growth projects and exploration targets, many of which are close to the existing underground infrastructure at both Timmins West and Bell Creek.
